Azerbaijan

An Azerbaijan tour package from Pakistan centres on Baku, where a walled old city sits beside glass towers on the Caspian Sea, with day trips to mud volcanoes, burning hillsides and the mountain towns of Gabala and Sheki. We plan private and group trips to Azerbaijan on request for families, honeymooners and friends.

Why visit Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan feels European in places but stays easy for Muslim travellers, since most of the population is Muslim. Baku's Old City, with the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and the Maiden Tower, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while the Flame Towers and the seafront boulevard show the modern side of the capital. Outside Baku the land changes quickly, from semi-desert to forest and the peaks of the Greater Caucasus.

It is a compact country, so a short trip covers a lot, which is why Baku tour packages from Pakistan are often planned as week-long breaks or honeymoons.

Best time to visit Azerbaijan

  • April to June: mild weather, green countryside and comfortable sightseeing in Baku.
  • July and August: hot in Baku, but pleasant in the mountains at Gabala and Sheki.
  • September and October: warm days, fewer crowds and autumn colour in the north.
  • December to March: the season for snow, with skiing and winter scenery at Shahdag and Gabala. Baku itself is cold and windy.

Azerbaijan visa for Pakistani passport holders

Pakistani passport holders can apply online for Azerbaijan's official electronic visa before travel; visa on arrival is not available. Visa rules change often, so we check the current requirements when you enquire.

  • Gabala: cable cars, forest walks and lakes in the Caucasus foothills.
  • Sheki: the painted Khan's Palace and an old Silk Road caravanserai.
  • Shahdag: the country's main mountain resort, for skiing in winter and cable car rides in summer.

Getting to Azerbaijan from Pakistan

Azerbaijan Airlines flies direct to Baku from Lahore and Islamabad, a flight of around three and a half hours. Azerbaijan pairs naturally with Turkiye, and travellers drawn to Silk Road history often plan Uzbekistan as their next trip.
