Starting in Islamabad, the tour visits the historic Buddhist sites of Taxila, the UNESCO-listed monastery of Takht-i-Bahi, and the Gandhara treasures of Swat Valley.
The journey then continues along the legendary Karakoram Highway into the breathtaking landscapes of Hunza Valley and Skardu, where travelers experience dramatic mountain scenery and ancient Buddhist relics such as Manthal Buddha Rock. Itinerary
Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, you will be warmly received by our representative, who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you comfortably to your hotel in Islamabad. During the drive, you will get your first glimpse of the clean, green, and well-planned capital city nestled at the foothills of the Margalla Hills.
After arriving at the hotel, proceed with check-in and take some time to relax and recover from your journey. The rest of the day will be free for leisure and preparation for the adventures ahead.

After breakfast at the hotel, depart from Islamabad for Taxila, one of the most important archaeological regions of the ancient Gandhara Civilisation.
Your exploration begins at the Taxila Museum, which houses an impressive collection of Gandharan Buddhist art. The museum displays beautifully preserved Buddha statues, intricate stone reliefs, ancient coins, pottery, and other artifacts that provide valuable insight into the rich history and culture of Taxila and its surrounding regions.
Continue your visit to the Jaulian Buddhist Monastery, one of the most significant monastic complexes of the Gandhara period, dating back to the 2nd century CE. The site features well-preserved stupas, detailed Buddha sculptures, and monks’ quarters, reflecting the thriving Buddhist practices and monastic life of that era.
Later, explore the historic Dharmarajika Stupa, believed to have been built by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE to house relics of the Buddha. Surrounded by numerous smaller stupas and monastic structures, the site once served as an important pilgrimage center for Buddhist followers.

After breakfast, check out and begin the day with a visit to the historic Bhamala Stupa, an important archaeological site associated with the ancient Gandhara civilization. Dating back to the 2nd century CE, the site is known for its remarkable ruins and ancient Buddha statues preserved in their original setting, offering visitors a glimpse into the grandeur and spiritual significance this sacred complex once held. After exploring the site, enjoy lunch in Taxila before continuing the journey toward Peshawar, one of the oldest cities in the region and an important historical center of Gandharan culture. Upon arrival, visit the renowned Peshawar Museum, which houses one of the most extensive collections of Gandharan Buddhist art. The museum displays numerous Buddha statues, intricate stone carvings, and ancient artifacts that vividly illustrate the flourishing Buddhist artistic traditions from the 1st to 7th centuries.

This important Indo-Parthian archaeological site dates back to the 1st century CE and is recognized as one of the most significant Buddhist relics of the ancient Gandhara civilization. The monastery remained active until the 7th century, and its remarkably well-preserved ruins—including meditation cells, courtyards, and stupas—offer visitors a fascinating glimpse into the monastic life and spiritual practices of ancient Buddhist communities.
After exploring Takht-i-Bahi, continue your journey through the picturesque landscapes toward Swat Valley.

After exploring Amluk Dara, continue to the nearby Saidu Sharif Stupa, another important Buddhist monument that reflects the rich Gandharan heritage of the Swat Valley.

Upon reaching Chilas, enjoy lunch before visiting the remarkable Chilas Rock Art sites. These ancient carvings were created by travelers and traders who once passed through this region along the historic Silk Road. The area contains more than 50,000 petroglyphs and over 5,000 inscriptions, depicting animals, hunting scenes, religious symbols, and ancient scripts that reflect cultural exchanges of the time.
After exploring the rock art, continue the scenic drive along the Karakoram Highway toward Gilgit.
Upon arrival in Gilgit, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in Gilgit.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Hunza, traveling along the scenic Karakoram Highway through the spectacular landscapes of northern Pakistan.
During the journey, make several memorable stops, including the Collision Point of the Indian and Eurasian Plates, where Tectonic Plates can be observed. Continue with a stop at the Old Silk Route Viewpoint, offering views of the historic route once used by traders traveling along the ancient Silk Road. Another highlight is the Rakaposhi View Point, where you can admire the majestic Rakaposhi, one of the most beautiful peaks of the Karakoram Range.
Upon arrival in Hunza, visit the historic Altit Fort, a centuries-old fort that once served as the residence of the rulers of Hunza. Explore its fascinating architecture and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valley. Lunch will be served in Hunza before continuing the journey.
Later, drive to Duikar, passing through picturesque villages and seasonal spring blossoms along the way. Visit the famous Eagle’s Nest Viewpoint, known for offering one of the most breathtaking panoramic sunset views over the Hunza Valley and the surrounding Karakoram peaks.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for the scenic Hopper Valley. Upon arrival, visit the viewpoint overlooking the magnificent Hopper Glacier, where you can admire breathtaking mountain scenery along with beautiful apricot blossoms that decorate the valley during spring.
After lunch in Hopper Valley, continue the journey toward the famous Hussaini Suspension Bridge, one of the most thrilling suspension bridges in northern Pakistan. Visitors may also enjoy optional activities such as zip-lining, sky cycling, or crossing the suspension bridge for an adventurous experience.
The journey continues toward Passu, where you will stop at the Passu Glacier viewpoint before visiting the iconic Passu Cones, known for their dramatic, cathedral-shaped peaks rising sharply above the Karakoram landscape.
Later, depart for the stunning Attabad Lake, famous for its striking turquoise waters formed after a massive landslide in 2010. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in.

Afterward, begin the journey toward Skardu, traveling along the scenic Karakoram Highway. Lunch will be served in Gilgit before continuing the drive.
Along the way, make a stop at the famous Three Mountain Junction, a unique geographical point where the Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hindu Kush mountain ranges meet. A short break will also be made at Astak Nallah before continuing the scenic drive toward Skardu.
Upon arrival in Skardu, visit the historic Manthal Buddha Rock, an impressive 8th-century Buddhist relief carved into a large granite rock. This ancient carving reflects the deep roots of Buddhism in the region and provides insight into the spiritual traditions that once flourished along the ancient trade routes.
After the visit, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in Skardu.

Begin the day with a scenic flight from Skardu to Islamabad. This spectacular mountain flight offers breathtaking aerial views of the mighty Nanga Parbat and the dramatic peaks of the Karakoram.

After arrival, drive to the historic Mankiala Stupa, a 2nd-century Buddhist monument associated with a famous Jataka Tales story in which the Bodhisattva offers his own flesh to feed hungry tiger cubs. The stupa stands as a powerful symbol of compassion and self-sacrifice in Buddhist tradition.
After exploring the site, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to the hotel for check-in in Islamabad.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin a short city tour of Islamabad. Start with a visit to the iconic Faisal Mosque, the largest mosque in Pakistan, beautifully located at the foothills of the Margalla Hills and admired for its striking contemporary architecture.
Continue to the impressive Pakistan Monument, a national symbol representing the unity of Pakistan’s provinces and regions. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of Islamabad and the surrounding Margalla Hills.
Next, visit the nearby Lok Virsa Museum, where you can explore fascinating exhibits showcasing the diverse cultures, traditions, handicrafts, and heritage of Pakistan’s different regions.
Afterward, head to F-6 Super Market, a lively shopping area known for its souvenir shops, handicrafts, traditional items, and local products—an ideal place to pick up gifts and mementos from Pakistan.
The tour concludes at The Centaurus Mall, one of the largest and most modern shopping malls in the country. Here you can browse a wide range of local and international brands and enjoy lunch at the food court offering a variety of Pakistani and international cuisines. Afterward, you will be transferred to Islamabad International Airport for your departure flight.
