Mohatta Palace

Mohatta Palace is one of Karachi’s most impressive structures. With its grandiose sandstone mansion, it was built in 1927 and served as the residence of Hindu businessman Shivratan Mohatta until the partition. Afterwards Fatima Jinnah lived in the mansion. Mohatta Palace is now a small ethnographic museum highlighting the cultural diversity of various ethnic groups in Pakistan. Frere Hall

Quaid-e-Azam House (Museum)

The most prominent place to visit in Karachi is the home of Muhammad Ali Jinnah which he chose to live in. Quaid-e-Azam House, like Mohatta Palace, is a beautiful colonial-era building that once belonged to the Jinnah family. It was Quaid’s residence from 1944 until his death in 1948. Meanwhile Fatima Jinnah lived there until 1964. The building is now owned by the Pakistan government and has been converted into a museum depicting the life of Quaid-e-Azam. Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum

Bhambore Ruins

The prehistoric city of Bhambore was built in the first century BC during the Scytho-Parthian era. It was later ruled by Muslims from the 8th to the 13th centuries before being abandoned. The oldest ruins of one of the world’s known mosques, dating from 727 AD, can still be found there.
